At Volga Tours, we understand that Peru’s beauty must be enjoyed with the utmost social and ethical responsibility. That is why we rigorously adopt and apply the Code of Ethics and National Standards for Tourism Services (ESNNA). This code is more than a requirement: it is a statement of our values, which places the protection of human rights and, as a priority, the fight against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA) at the center of all our operations.

Our mission is to offer unforgettable and safe travel experiences, ensuring that tourism is a positive force for Peruvian communities and that no minor is victimized by tourism.

What is the ESNNA Code?

The ESNNA Code is a set of ethical and operational guidelines adopted by the Peruvian tourism industry in accordance with international standards, whose main objective is to prevent, detect, and report any form of sexual exploitation or abuse of minors in the context of tourism.

Volga Tours firmly adheres to these principles and educates all its staff, suppliers, and customers about the seriousness of this crime.

As a responsible tourism company, Volga Tours formally commits to:

1. Zero Tolerance for Sexual Exploitation

We declare and act under a policy of Zero Tolerance towards any form of sexual exploitation or abuse of children and adolescents. Any indication of such activity will be immediately reported to the competent authorities.

2. Ongoing Training and Awareness Raising

We ensure that all our employees, from tour guides and drivers to administrative and management staff, receive regular and detailed training on:

3. Supplier Commitment

We require all our business partners, accommodation providers, transport providers, restaurants, and tourist services in general to adopt and comply with the ESNNA Code as an essential condition for maintaining our partnership. We verify that their policies are aligned with our commitment.

4. Traveler Information and Awareness

We undertake to inform our customers, before and during their trip, about the existence of the ESNNA Code and Peruvian legislation that severely punishes crimes against the sexual integrity of minors. We remind you that these crimes are prosecuted both in Peru and in the offender’s country of origin.

5. Collaboration with Authorities

We maintain active and ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), the Peruvian National Police, the Attorney General’s Office, and other child protection agencies, providing any information necessary for the prevention and prosecution of these crimes.
